Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)
One of America’s Founding Fathers, Franklin was busy. Despite being active as a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, forger and political philosopher, he is best known today as the face inscribed on the US $100 bill.
Partly because of this, his first name, Benjamin, has become a slang term for money. So next time you hear, “Show me the Benjamins”, you’ll not only know what it means, you’ll know what to do!
