Created by Matt Groening, the animated television series The Simpsons has continuously been on air since its debut in 1989. The dysfunctional Simpson family consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie and is a satirical depiction of American life.
The quote above is particularly ironic given Homer’s job: he works as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
